Louis Blanc created himself: the result of years of work, methodical research, and a personal quest centered around his own body. His work came to light in 2012 through an amateur competition during the European Festival of Nude Photography in Arles, marking a turning point.
Blending graphic art and contortionism, Louis Blanc reinterprets photographic fundamentals like the self-portrait and the nude, challenging associations with feminine aesthetics.
In the series “c0RpuS”, he uses black and white self-portraits, natural light, and a consistent setup: the same floor, same background, same lens, same body—his own. These constraints paradoxically allow him to unleash his creativity through unusual perspectives, visual illusions, and contortions.

His minimalist staging serves a body pushed to its limits. The imagery—raw and direct—evokes shame as much as asceticism, constraint as much as freedom. The eye is drawn to unexpected perspectives and a creeping mystery: tensed fingers, hiding hands, fleeting glances. Form and body blur into an unusual world.
The exhibition also presented new works, including the “clamoR” triptych, opening the door to a new direction.
