In her workshop, Gislaine Marro creates copper and brass figures born from the unconscious world, a practice she began in the 2000s. Inspired by childhood memories, her work is guided by a poetic vision.

“I allow my unconscious to express itself freely in my creations. Once I’ve transcribed and symbolized it—once the sculpture is born—a dialogue begins between the piece and its audience. It no longer says ‘I’, it becomes ‘it’ and lives its own life.”
